Winner in the JazzBuffalo Poll for Female Vocalist of the Year in 2021 & 2018, Alex McArthur is a professional vocalist residing in Buffalo, NY. While studying voice & musical theatre, Alex began studying vocal jazz in 2014 at the University at Buffalo under George Caldwell & Bobb.Some of her big influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Dianne Reeves, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughn, & Esperanza Spalding. Alex above all else prioritizes storytelling when on stage, & utilizing the voice as an instrument to do so is one of her greatest joys. Join us at Pausa Art House for a night featuring the music of some of the greatest storytellers of musical theatre & jazz, including Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, & many more!
